"Sometimes known as St. Practice Day, made up of Guinness drinkers across the country trying to break the record for the largest simultaneous toast. Since it’s inception in 1993 Pittsburgh, The Great Guinness Toast has consistently grown, and breaks its own record each and every year.”
It’s next scheduled for February 19, 2010. Start practicing. Thanks to Graham for modeling!
Frankie is an austic kid who lives in Minneapolis with his single dad, Bill.
According to Bill, Frankie is growing like crazy and needs some new threads for the summer.
Let’s help Frankie out!!
Instead of them going out and buying new shirts, is there anyone who cas pass along some of their own kids’ outgrown shirts?
Frankie wears size is 7-8 — or medium — in kids sizes. His favorite sports are swimming, basketball and soccer — “So anything along those lines would be great,” Bill says.
He also loves road trips (“We do a Dudes’ Road Trip every summer from here in Minneapolis to my hometown of Saint Louis,” Bill explained), so obscure t-shirts from restaurants, coffee shops, parks, etc., from all over the country would be cool.
If you ask real nicely, Frankie might even show off his new threads on Frankie Speaks.
If anyone has some shirts to send to Frankie, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll make sure they get to the young dude.
Now the backstory: On a whim, I recorded a 60-second pitch about why I think Teecycle is “a business idea that can be financially viable, and more importantly, also leave a positive impact on the world.”
And then BAM!Teecycle was named a finalist (one of 20) in Pepsi’s South by Southwest ‘09 “What’s Your Pitch” contest to “support innovative ideas in the interactive world and beyond.”
WHOA! That’s craziness.
So once again, I’d so appreciate your vote here. We’ll find out the winner on May 7th. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!!!
What’s the only thing more stylin’ than a Teecycle shirt? A Teecycle shirt with a stylin’ haircut, that’s what!
Well, good news:
Now you can teecycle your old shirts at the Establishment Salon in Shorewood, Wis., and get $1 off your service for each shirt you donate (up to $10 off). And if you’re a new client you get a $5 bonus.
Also! To celebrate Earth Month, if you stop by the Establishment in the next two weeks, you can enter your name into win one of 10 Teecycle shirts of your choice. I’ll draw the winners at the Establishment on Earth Day, April 22.
And as always, every shirt sold donates a buck to restore rivers through the River Revitalization Foundation in Milwaukee. So far we’ve donated $250 and counting.
